ELLIE GOULDING INSPIRED MAKEUP LOOK

I'm really enjoying putting makeup looks together at the moment and want to post more tutorials on my YouTube channel. When I watched the Ellie Goulding Outside music video featuring Calvin Harris , I just knew I had to try and recreate her makeup as it was stunning! Obviously she is blond and more tanned than me but I love this look and think its so wearable for all skin tones. I'm using the Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 palette for this look but if you have the Urban Decay naked 1 palette,I'll list the comparable Naked 1 shades below for you as the Makeup Rev palette doesn't have names on the shadows.

Ok so I'm watching this in a weird way. Spencer is watching a movie on the TV and I'm sitting next to him watching your video with the computer muted! Hahaha. So, the blog comment is without hearing your speech, and later will be a YouTube comment where I can actually hear what you're doing. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if I can use my Iconic 3 palette. There are some similar shades... I'm glad you used your Iconic 1 so I get an idea of what I can do. Are there really names on the palette!? ! I was joking with a friend that we'd have to name them ourselves... I'll have to have a second look!
What you've done with the eye look is gorgeous. I love the sparkle and the pinky sheen, as well as the contour in the crease. It's really well done Sophie! I love lining my lower water line with white.. It really makes your eyes POP. Like PLAWH!
BTW I also have that RT little baby brush and I never use it for ANYTHINGGGGGGG. From now on I'll use it for smudging liner and things, like you have done in the video. Thanks for that ;)

Yeah I'm sure you can use the iconic 3 , I'll have a look which shades would be comparable x AW no sorry the iconic 1 doesn't have names ,I just thought I'd name the icon shades the urban decay names as they don't have names and its easier than saying shade 2nd across , shade 6th across hehe if that makes sence x sorry for any confusion hehe x I'm going to hopefully vinyl some tiny names onto my iconic 1 and when I do I will name them the same names as the urban decay.

I'm so glad you like my look , awww thanks I was chuffed with the contour crease hehe , I have hooded eyes so I've got to go above my natural crease but hopefully it looked OK, I'm only now just starting to wear eye-shadow on a day to day basis ( or when I wear makeup, which isn't every day ) hehe x it really does doesn't it! I'll use the white pencil more x ha yeah I forgot to get an eye liner pencil brush out so looked at the brushes I did have and was like I never use this haha , it'll do and it actually worked amazingly well! I'd love to see you get some use out of it also x

DeleteI think the crease worked perfectly, even with hooded eyes. I have SO many people with hooded eyes and they all get so discouraged.. Now they just need to watch your video and they'll have some hope! Haha!!
